The USAID-funded Partnership for Economic Growth, implemented by Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), is a strategic initiative designed to assist local authorities and private sector entities in Somaliland in improving the environment for investment, fostering economic growth, and enhancing social stability. The program focuses on generating productive employment opportunities and supporting sustainable livelihoods as part of its broader goal to promote economic resilience and stability in the region. While currently operational in Somaliland, the program anticipates scaling its activities to other areas in the near future. To support this initiative and ensure evidence-based programming, IRADA conducted a large-scale survey aimed at gathering insights into the attitudes, perceptions, and opinions of individuals across Somaliland. The survey specifically targeted 948 respondents, representing diverse demographic and geographic segments from various regions in Somaliland. The primary objective of the survey was to collect data that would establish baseline values for two key performance indicators:
(1) percent of respondents who stat that economic conditions have improved over the last year and
(2) the precent of respondents who state that security has improved over the last year with USAID/DAI. By capturing the perspectives of the Somaliland population, the survey provides a robust foundation for shaping the program’s.
